CSP SE
The Charter Schools Program (CSP), State Entities (SE) grant is a federally funded program authorized under Title IV, Part C of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).
The CSP SE program provides competitive grant funds to support the development, expansion, and improvement of high-quality public charter schools. The goal of the program is to increase the number of high-performing charter schools and ensure that all students, including those who are educationally disadvantaged, have access to excellent educational opportunities.
Sankofa Montessori has been awarded CSP SE funds to support the growth and sustainability of our tuition-free public Montessori program. These funds help us strengthen teaching and learning, invest in Montessori materials and professional development, and enhance our family and community engagement efforts.
All CSP SE-funded activities at Sankofa Montessori are designed to align with our mission to provide a culturally responsive, child- and family-centered education that empowers every child with the knowledge, skills, and agency to lead a life of purpose.
Additional information about the CSP SE program can be found on the Georgia Department of Education’s Federal Programs webpage and the U.S. Department of Education’s CSP page.
