At Sankofa Montessori, we utilize the Montessori model of learning to
provide a culturally responsive, child and family-centered Montessori
education that empowers every child with the knowledge, skills, and
agency to lead a life of purpose.
Our Programs
Primary (Kindergarten)
Our hands-on materials and lessons help children learn in five main subject areas: practical, sensorial, language, mathematics and cultural studies.
Lower Elementary (1st-3rd Grade)
Our approach uses overarching stories to help children see interconnections between all subjects and feel how each learning area touches their own lives.
Our Teaching Philosophy
At Sankofa Montessori, our guides foster a student-centered learning environment that awakens curiosity and nurtures the unique developmental needs of each child.
